HOW TO MAKE YOGURT
Yoghurt is fermented buttermilk. It has all the nutrients normal milk has, and is it is easier to digest. Making yoghurt form scratch is a very easy process; you need;
INGREDIENTS;
Culture; lemon
Full cream milk / butter milk
Empty Glass jar
PROCESS;
Make culture first; Make culture with Milk and Lemon and then make another batch of yoghurt using only the first culture (milk and yoghurt) and Milk.
Cook 15cl of full cream milk till just before it starts bubbling
Slice Lemon
Pour cooked milk in a glass jar of about the same size
Put the sliced lemon into the milk
Keep Jar in a warm place for 8-12 hours
After these hours your culture is ready
Warmness can be achieved by wrapping a warm duvet around the jar a keeping in a dark place. Keeping yoghurt in a warm oven overnight can also give this effect.
Making the Yoghurt; the process of making the yoghurt is similar to the process of making the culture, just that the culture is added to the warm milk instead of the lemon. And that step is repeated twice.
Cook 20 cl of full cream milk till just before it starts bubbling
Pour cooked milk in a glass jar of about the same size
Put two table spoons of already made culture into the boiled milk
Keep Jar in a warm place for 8-12 hours
After these hours your fist batch of yoghurt would be ready.
*However to get a better taste there is need to make a second batch of yoghurt using the first batch.
After repeating step Cook desired quantity of milk repeat 2b add first batch of yoghurt, then repeat step 2d – 2e and your yoghurt would be ready.
TIPS ON YOGHURT
Adding vinegar to yoghurt would give it a nicer taste.
Yoghurt could be used for skincare, especially the culture.
Refrigerate and consume after 10 days
