Mouthwatering ASSORTED Meat Pepper Soup
We all know that Pepper soup of any kind is an appetite enhancer. But do you know that, Nigerian Pepper soup spices are said to be medicinal.
This particular NIGERIAN dish is taken together with fresh Palm Wine for enjoyment during traditional festive seasons and/or celebrations.
…I-I..I-t-It’s quite chilly in these parts of the world and cold times equals a nice and comforting bowl of pepper soup. You’ve got to give this a try, trust us, you won’t regret it.

Ingredients
1200 g of assorted meat (washed clean and cut up)
1 onion (chopped)
3 scotch bonnet / habanero pepper
3 Cameroun pepper(Ground)
1 Tbsp Pepper soup spice 1-2 Tbsp coarsely ground crayfish
1 small bell pepper (chopped)
Scent Leaves (chopped)
1parsley(chopped)
Uziza, Uda, Omilo
1 tablespoon ground Alligator Pepper
2 stock cubes
Calabash Nutmeg (ground)
1 garlic cloves (crushed)
Salt to taste
Instructions
Place meat in a pot, fill with water enough to cover the meat generously.
Add the onions, omilo, ground calabash nutmeg, alligator pepper, uziza, crushed garlic, stock cubes and some salt and allow to come to a boil
When the contents in the pot begin to boil, add the pepper soup spice, ground crayfish ( optional ) and the chopped habanero pepper. Put the cameroun pepper last after tasting the soup to know what you can handle.
Cook till the meat is tender and cooked thoroughly, then lower heat to a simmer. Taste for seasoning and adjust accordingly.
Add the chopped red bell peppers and the chopped parsley and scent leaves. Allow simmer for a minute, then turn off heat.
Enjoy warm or Hot.
Note: WARNING:-Just like the name, this delicacy is very HOT.
Tip: You can include organ meat ( liver, kidney)and offals ( tripe/shaki) in your pepper soup.
*Consume with rice, Yam, potato or bread.
*Best enjoyed with Fresh Palm Wine or Stout.
