SOMEIJIS PAWPAW LOTION (Skin whitening) REVIEW

The best part about this product is the packaging, and I think that is what attracted me to the product. It was the only lotion which comes in an actual pack. Most creams and lotion come in a carton, which are then brought out and displayed on shelves. But someijis are packed separately.
If you see it just displayed on the shelf without the packet, its probably Fake or adulterated.

I started using this product( SomeIjiS PAWPAW LOTION) last Year, during my time in School, once I saw the bottle, I was drawn to it. The ingredients and description looked promising. And the fact that it was not tested on animals gave me JOY.

However, I do have some ills about SomeIjiS PAWPAW LOTION
Let's dive into it shall we?

Description (According to the back) : SomeIjis PAWPAW LOTION, PAWPAW whiten SKIN toning LOTION;
Infuse necessary nutritious essence into your skin, keep skin healthy and fair, tender and translucent, full of healthy gloss.

Direction
Spread it evenly on the whole skin and use it daily, to make it more moisturizing. For dried part such as hands, elbows and knees, we suggest that you should spread more times daily.

Size: 480ml
(Lasted me close to 6 months, Nov-April).
2 pumps alone is enough for my entire body. And I apply mostly at night! It all depends on you really.

Ingredients
Water(Aqua), Petrolatum, Mineral oil(Parraffinum liquidium), glycerin,steric acid, glycol stearate, glyceryl stearate, Triethanolamine, PEG-40 stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, DMDM Hydantoin, Magnesium Aluminum silicate, methyl paraben, Helianthus Annus(sunflower) seed oil, Cetyl Acetate, Acetylated Lanolin Alcohol, Carbomer, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Geranium Maculatum oil, Lecithin, Borago officinalis(Borage) seed oil, Cholesterol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Prunus Amygdalus dulcis(sweet almond) oil, Ethylene brassylate, Santalum Albun (Sandalwood), Olive Extract, Avocedo extract, Vanilla Planifolia fruit extract.

A total of 29 (inactive) ingredients. That's a lot if you ask me! Some of the ingredients raise eyebrows and twist tongues, no lie. Lol But overall most of the ingredients are safe, and are not only moisturizing, they also go as far as healing and curing a range of skin problems.

For instance did you know that Borage oil and Sandalwood work best for acne prone skin?

Sunflower and Almond oil soften and moisturize dry skin.

Lecithin is a fat acting emulsifier, capable of curing eczema. 

Lecithin is an excellent ingredient in skin care products(such as creams, lotions, shampoos) as a moisturizer and emulsifier, hydrating eczema infections. It's also used in foods. Lecithin is 100% safe.

Olive and Avocedo extract smooth out skin, makes skin supple and glossy looking. They're also good for lightening dark spots or hyper-pigmented skin and sensitive skin.

What surprises me however, is the fact that there's NO PAWPAW among the ingredients, maybe it got omitted somewhere during production? Lol

Packaging: The packaging is great, indicates that time, care and efforts were taken.
It comes in a white cylindrical plastic container(bottle), a pump head with transparent sticker inscription on the front and at the back.

In the front: SomeIjiS (ON TOP) PAWPAW LOTION (BY THE SIDE)

At the back: You have the description, directions and ingredients. The there are other informations too.

Smell: I'm not a fan of heavy on fragrances in creams or any lotion of any kind. Fragrances should be best left in Perfume bottles, heavy on or otherwise. Anything outside that could actually irritate skin, cause redness, acne or sensitive allergy reactions. Plus they block the nose and may cause difficulties in breathing.

SomeIjiS Pawpaw lotion smell is subtle. It doesn't blow up in your face by surprise. If you've ever used Carotene or G & G then you should know what I'm talking about! 

SomeIjis doesn't smell harsh in anyway.

It smells like a combination of natural plants and flowers. But what struck out is- how its able to still smell like Pawpaw even after 29 ingredients later ?! I really wanna know.

Storage: My friend used to store this particular LOTION in the freezer compartment of her fridge. I guess whatever works for you, right?
Storage wasn't indicated on the pack or on the back, however I keep mine in my room(normal room temperature). Just ensure you keep it away from heat and dust and it will be alright.

Moisture wise: 4.2/5
This product is actually a good moisturizer.

In all, SomeIjiS looks like a genuine product. Softens the skin almost too well infact. This is not a lotion for those hot days and apply on your face, only at night (please!)unless you're looking for a greasy look or make-up. 

Don't not apply or wear before make up, because you will break out (100% certain ).

I especially love to use this product on my hands and feet, it softens them in no time and they stay that way for hours and hours long on end.

Downsides
1.) Patience: You will need a lot of patience with this cream from rubbing in to actually seeing results. The results are minimal and gradual. But are worth it in the end. If you're expecting to tone right away, I suggest you walk away now. SomeIjis Pawpaw LOTION will only help you maintain that skin tone and maybe help lighten you up a bit. My friend who uses this product is dark (still is). But if you see her SKIN, you will be wondering her secret (Zero Stretch-marks, Zero discolorations and Zero acne). She has been using this product for 3years now. And it's the only product she uses.

So if you're patient enough, go for it!

SomeIjiS PAWPAW LOTION requires a lot of rubbing. What I do is, when I'm out of the shower I allow my body dry off completely, then I slather on some LOTION wait for a minute or two before I rub it in. Because If you go straight away you'd be spending nothing less than a good 20mins when you could spend 5 !

2.) Difficulty Dispensing: Not sure if this is a downside? But I feel like I should include this too. SomeIjis PAWPAW LOTION sometimes solidified in the straw nozzle or pump, even after several squeeze, it was still very difficult to dispense. Most times I had to open it up and turn it over and then wait for the liquid to come out or deep my fingers in and apply. This can be very annoying.

In all, If you are looking for an active Good moisturizer, that will blend and heal your skin, or you want to maintain a healthy skin tone all year round? SomeIjis PAWPAW LOTION is the way to go.

Rating: Depends on what you're looking for.
But I'd rate this product (SomeIjiS PAWPAW LOTION)
87/100. Because I really like the fact that it does what it says, its not hyped or over promised, it says moisture, and that's what you GET. 

Plus the fragrance is not off putting and the packaging is lovely.

HOWEVER, This product is a little bit too moisturizing though! It's difficult to go under the sun, without turning up like the 'grease mob' ! 

2.) I'm not too pleased with the price.

Price: #1600 ($5). You could get cheaper products with the same function or even more!

3.) This product has a lot of ingredients! I'm not comfortable with this.

4.)Problems with dispensing and drying!
